Kinvara Community Transport Study (CTS)

Galway County Council has developed the Kinvara Community Transport Study (CTS) to identify local transport challenges and outline potential measures that support safer, more sustainable travel. Aligned with the Galway County Transport and Planning Study and the Galway County Development Plan 2022–2028, the CTS is a non‑statutory document offering an indicative set of actions for future assessment, planning and delivery.

As Kinvara continues to grow—driven by population increases and rising visitor numbers—the study highlights opportunities to enhance walking, cycling, public transport and the public realm. These measures aim to improve mobility, reduce reliance on private cars, and strengthen the village’s appeal as a place to live, work and visit.
