The Corporate Plan is the business strategy for Galway County Council. The plan is underpinned by a set of high level strategic goals that address the role of the Council as it provides the roadmap for the long term socio-economic development of the County.
As well as the Creative Communities pillar, Galway County Council also utilises funding from Creative Health & Wellbeing to deliver programmes to support older, and more vulnerable members of the community
The Creative Ireland Programme is an all-of-government culture and wellbeing programme with an ambition to inspire and transform people, places and communities through creativity.
Creative Ireland is committed to the vision that every person in Ireland should have the opportunity to realise their full creative potential.
Cultural Heritage includes archaeological objects, heritage objects, The Irish Language, folklore, oral heritage and folklife, genealogy, museums and archives, local history, heritage education and placenames.
