The Walking and Cycling Index is the largest assessment of everyday walking, wheeling and cycling across the UK and Ireland, with the 2025 Galway Metropolitan Area report highlighting local progress based on new data and a representative survey of 1,112 residents.
The Galway Tourism Strategy document is the roadmap which will unlock the Social, Cultural and Economic potential of tourism across the entire County, doing this in a sustainable manner.
This is the Council's fourth annual report on the differences in pay between female
and male Council employees and has been made available to all of Galway County
Council’s Employees. The issue of gender pay differences is an important one,
not only to the workplace but to wider society. People are at the core of our
