What is Planning Compliance?
Planning Compliance is the process of complying with planning conditions set out in the Final Grant of permission issued by the Planning Authority, or in the Board Order issued by An Bord Pleanála. All conditions attached to the permission must be complied with. Non-compliance with conditions can lead to enforcement proceedings.
Important Compliance Submission Information
It must be noted, there are conditions attached to a planning permission that requires information to be submitted, some of which necessitates written agreement.
In relation to conditions that shall be complied with prior to commencement, such related works should not be carried out unless the relevant information has been submitted and approved, as per the requirements of that condition.
From the 17th December 2021, any compliance submission received in relation to a planning permission condition that requires the written agreement of the Planning Authority will be subject to a time limit of 8 weeks for consideration.
