Galway County Council wishes to advise the public that our services will be affected by planned strike action on Wednesday, 14 October 2026.
Some Galway County buildings, including libraries, will be closed to the public on Wednesday the 14th October, and other services may operate at reduced capacity.
We will have contingency arrangements in place to support the continued delivery of essential services. However, delays and changes to normal service arrangements should be expected.
Fire services and emergency homeless services will not be affected by this industrial action.
