Applications are now open for the Cathaoirleach's Awards 2026 which are an annual initiative to acknowledge the commitment of individuals and groups who participate in community and voluntary activities in County Galway and to recognise the significant impact their actions have on the quality of life in their communities.
The Awards are a joint venture between Galway County Council and the Public Participation Network, which has over 1,300 Member Groups carrying out a range of community and voluntary activities across the County.
Nominations may be submitted by individual members of the public, community groups or voluntary organisations. Completed Nomination Forms should be e‑mailed to awards@galwaycoco.ie by 10th April 2026.
