Our library branches offer free access to computers, printing facilities, and Wi-Fi to support your study, work, and everyday needs.

Computers

Public access computers are available for use in all of our library branches with the exception of Letterfrack. 

WiFi

All of our library branches have public WiFi. 

Printing and Photocopying 

Printers and photocopiers are available to use in all of our branches except Letterfrack. 

Charges for printing: .20c for black and white sheet and .60c for a colour sheet. 

 

Surfbox - Print, Photocopy and Scan

Surfbox printing kiosks are available to use in An Cheathrú Rua, Ballybane, Ballinasloe, Clifden, Galway City, Loughrea, Oranmore, Portumna, Tuam and Westside

  • E-mail your document to the printer from your personal device, print directly from the library PC or use the PrinterOn app to print.
  • Use the scanner to scan up to 20 pages at a time to your email address.
  • Pay with cash or card.
  • A4 one-sided printing and photocopying only.

Tablets

Clifden and Tuam Libraries have a self-service tablet loaning kiosk which accommodates six Hublet Tablets.

The tablets are WiFi connected and are available to all library members to borrow and use in the library for two hours per day.

The digital content available on the tablets is determined by the borrowers status, i.e., adult or child.

The children's content contains sections on education and nature; coding; colouring; games; language apps and age-appropriate internet access

The adult content allows full access to the internet, with major social media apps; online courses and several streaming apps, such as RTÉ Player and TG4 Player
