Galway County Council Archives has a large digital archive with many important and popular collections.
Digitising these records helps preserve them and makes them easily accessible online to people around the world. The Archives plans to continue adding more collections online for everyone to use and enjoy.

Several collections have been indexed by FindMyPast.
Their Galway Collection includes:
- Records from the Poor Law Unions of Ballinasloe, Clifden, Gort, Mountbellew (part), and Tuam
- Portumna Medical Register (1881–1884)
- St George Mansergh, Headford Estate Survey (1775)
