Homeless

If you have no place to live and can’t afford to get housing yourself, the Council may consider you homeless. They can help with emergency places to stay, like hostels, B&Bs, or special housing for people in crisis.

Homeless Services

You may be considered homeless by Galway County Council if:

  • You have nowhere to live, or
  • You are staying in a night shelter or similar place only because you have no other option, and
  • You cannot afford to get accommodation on your own
