Arts Plan 2026-2030 Consultations

Galway County Council is preparing a new Arts Plan 2026-2030 which will set out the direction, priorities and goals that will guide our work into the next decade. A public information and consultation meeting will take place in each of our five Municipal Districts.

We want to know what you think.
County Galway has a vibrant arts and cultural ecosystem that includes practicing professional artists across all artforms, arts organisations, festivals, voluntary arts practitioners, artist residencies and various dedicated groups working to promote the arts in communities across the county.

It also has one full-time professional arts centre, Áras Éanna, located on Inis Óirr. The Arts Office delivers Culture Night each year and works in partnership with Creative Ireland, Music Generation and many established arts organisations in providing arts experiences for all.

Galway County Council is very interested to hear from you, whether you are involved in the arts or not, to assess what value you place on the arts; how, if at all, you engage with the arts or, if you feel there are ways to generate more opportunity for people to engage creatively in arts activity.

All are welcome to attend Arts Plan consultations in Tuam, Ballinasloe, Loughrea, Athenry or Clifden.
