Arts & Disability Project Award is funding for professional artists to deliver inclusive and supported collaborative arts projects with groups of people with disabilities in Galway County.
This is the first year of this award and it aims to:
- Deliver high-quality, inclusive and supported collaborative arts projects with participants with disabilities
- Create innovative work that meaningfully involves people with disabilities
- Support the professional development of artists committed to collaborative arts and to working with people with disabilities
- Build a sustainable culture of access, equality, and leadership in the arts
All applications must have a confirmed lead professional artist and all applications must have a confirmed group of people with disabilities, as participants or collaborators.
Who can apply?
- Artists who live in Galway County
- Artists with disabilities
- Artists without disabilities
- Artists working in architecture, circus, dance, film, literature, music, opera, street performance and spectacle, theatre, traditional arts and visual arts
- Organisations with a track record of arts and disability projects
What can I apply for?
- Collaborative arts projects delivered in Galway County
- Research and development of collaborative arts projects
- Training or mentoring from arts professionals with experience delivering high quality collaborative arts projects for people with disabilities, during a project
- Applicants personal access costs and participant access costs
How much can I apply for?
- The maximum award available is €3,000
- The minimum award available is €500
- €12,000 will be awarded in total
- Support in-kind from the disability organisation or group is required. In-cash support is welcomed but not required
