Historical Newspapers on Microfilm

Galway Public Libraries hold a wide range of historical newspapers on microfilm. Some of these titles are also available online via the Irish Newspaper Archive and the British Newspaper Archive.

Microfilm items may be viewed by appointment at Library Headquarters.

Several microfilm titles are currently being digitised by the British Library. However, this is an ongoing project, and much of the content remains available only in microfilm format for now.
