Galway County Council Sponsors Tourism & Hospitality Excellence Award at the 2025 Galway Chamber Business Awards

Galway County Council sponsored the Tourism & Hospitality Excellence category at the 2025 Galway Chamber Business Awards, held recently at The Galmont Hotel. This award recognises a business that delivers unforgettable experiences and sets new standards in service and innovation. Their work showcases the very best of Galway’s tourism and hospitality scene.

The Connacht Hospitality Group was named overall winner of the category. 

Liam Conneally, Chief Executive of Galway County Council, said, “Tourism and hospitality are at the heart of Galway’s identity, driving local employment, showcasing our culture and welcoming visitors from across the world. Galway County Council is proud to sponsor an award that recognises businesses that embody the creativity and resilience of our local sector.”

John Neary, Head of Tourism at Galway County Council, who attended the ceremony along with Tourism Team members Loretta Raftery and Chris Monaghan, said, “Through collaboration with the community, industry stakeholders and partners, our goal is to continue to build a tourism destination that is vibrant, sustainable and prepared to grasp the opportunities that lie ahead.”
