This year’s programme brings together entrepreneurs, SMEs, industry experts and creative talent for a week filled with learning, networking and practical supports designed to help local businesses thrive.

National tree Week 1

NATIONAL TREE WEEK 2026

National Tree Week 2026 will take place this year from 8th March - 15th March 2026. The Tree Council of Ireland and Coillte are again partnering for National Tree Week and this year’s theme is 'Growing a Greener Future together '
In conjunction with the Tree Council of Ireland and Coillte, Galway County Council will have tree saplings available free of charge to community groups, schools and other voluntary organisations in its functional area. Stock will be limited and will be issued on a first come, first served basis.

Arts Plan 2026-2030 Consultations

Galway County Council is preparing a new Arts Plan 2026-2030 which will set out the direction, priorities and goals that will guide our work into the next decade. A public information and consultation meeting will take place in each of our five Municipal Districts. All are welcome to attend Arts Plan consultations in Tuam, Ballinasloe, Loughrea, Athenry or Clifden.
