Hoarding/Scaffolding Licence
A licence is required if it is proposed to erect a hoarding/fence/scaffold on a roadway or footpath. The application must set out the works proposed, duration of works, and the provisions to be made for pedestrians where works will encroach on the footpath. The application should be accompanied by:
(a) A public
liability policy in the amount of €6.4 million with a specific indemnity for
Galway County Council.
(b) The
appropriate fee:
(i) For a period of one year €1,250.
(ii) For a period of more than one year -€1,250 per year or part of year.
(iii) For a period of less than one year €125 per month or part of a month
