Cullairbaun Community Album, Athenry

Cullairbaun Community Album is a new Public Art Project which recently got underway in Athenry. Galway based photographer Jane Talbot is currently in residence at the Community House on the Cullairbaun estate. During her time there she is offering residents the opportunity to have their portraits taken at their own front door.
The project will result in an exhibition of the portraits taken which will be put on permanent display at the Community House. Each participating household will also receive a professional print of their own portrait.
Jane Talbot has established a formidable reputation as a photographer, in both a community and a visual arts context. Recent exhibitions include the Red Handbag, held as part of the Tuam Arts Festival, and at the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny.
