The Council would like to remind the public that Boil Water Notices are still in place in the following areas:

Planned Disruptions for Next Week Monday 28th – Thursday 31st March

 Galway County Council is carrying out further works under its Water Conservation programme next week from Monday 28th March until Thursday 31st March inclusive, which will involve periodic disruptions to water supplies in East Co. Galway 

Details for the shutdowns next week are as below:

  • Monday – Kilconly and Ratesh Group Water Schemes.  Also Coast Road Oranmore and Doughiska No. 2 GWS.
  • Tuesday – Gort – Intermittent disruptions may be experienced on the entire scheme.  In particular, the following areas will be affected – Loughrea Road, Crowe Street, Church Street and Tubber Road.
  • Wednesday – Kinvarra Area – Kinvarra Town and all areas of the scheme to the west of the town – includes Ballybranagan, Crossooha, Mountscribe, Doorus, Tawnagh, Knockgarra, Dooruspark, Knockakilleen, Parkmore, Newtownlynch, Cloosh, Cregboy, Corranroo GWS, Trelick/Carnamadra GWS and Moy GWS.  
  • Thursday – Claregalway Area.  The shutdown will be carried out at night (after 10pm).  The areas affected will be all of Claregalway Village, Carnmore Road as far as Carnmore Cross and Cahergowan Area.  Local businesses will be notified.    Also Kinvarra area – Dungory West, Dungory East, Cartron, Ballyclery (including Ballyclery GWS)

These disruptions will be kept to an absolute minimum and should last no longer than 3 hours at any one time.

Galway County Council wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused to the public by these necessary works.
