EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION
Galway County Council wishes to invite entries for the European Mobility Week Amateur Photographic Competition. The purpose of the competition is to encourage participants to consider sustainable mobility and accordingly all entries must be based on the theme for European Mobility Week 2010 of ‘Travel Smarter, Live Better’. There are 3 categories in the competition namely, Primary School, Secondary School, and Adult Category. A Prize of €250.00 will be awarded in each category. Closing date for receipt of entries is Thursday, 30th September 2010.

Lyme disease is caused by a bacterium spread by bites from ticks. Treated early there is significant chance of the disease being stopped in its tracks, but identified too late (due to lack of awareness) can lead to unnecessary long term suffering on behalf of the patient.

In accordance with Section 24(4) of the Planning & Development Acts 2000-2006, the West Regional Authority hereby give notice of Draft Regional Planning Guidelines for the West Region 2010 - 2022. The Draft Regional Planning Guidelines have been prepared in accordance with the Planning & Development Acts 2000-2006, the Planning & Development (Regional Planning Guidelines) Regulations 2009 and the Planning & Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004. The West Region covers the administrative areas of Roscommon County Council, Mayo County Council, Galway County Council and Galway City Council.
